South Africa has a 31% unemployment rate – more than 8 million people are unemployed! And 57% of the Youth between 15-24yrs are unemployed, with 34% of them NEET – not in employment, education or training.  We also have low economic growth and few job opportunities. The highest motive among South Africans to become entrepreneurs is out of necessity and to earn a living as jobs are scarce, particularly among men. SA Entrepreneurship level is only 10%, the lowest in 20 years. (GEM report)
